1. Where we deliver
Vadodara only, to pincodes beginning 390 and 391. Checkout will not accept an address outside this range.
We do not ship outside Vadodara. Cream cakes do not survive transit, and we would rather decline an order than send something that arrives ruined. For an address just outside the range, write to us and we will tell you honestly whether we can manage it.
2. When we deliver
Choose a date and one of three slots at checkout:
- Morning — 09:00 – 12:00
- Afternoon — 12:00 – 16:00
- Evening — 16:00 – 20:00
We deliver Tuesday to Sunday. Monday is our prep and sourcing day and no deliveries are made.
3. How much notice we need
Every item shows the notice it needs on its product page — between 18 and 60 hours depending on what it is. Laminated and tiered work needs the most.
Checkout will only offer dates your whole basket can actually be ready for; the slowest item sets the earliest date. Custom and tiered cakes are quoted separately and generally need two weeks.
4. What it costs
- ₹49 flat within Vadodara.
- Free on orders of ₹750 or more, calculated after any discount.
5. On the day
We message the delivery number shortly before we set out. Please keep that phone reachable during your slot — it is the only way we can find you if an address is unclear.
Someone must be available to receive the order. Cream cakes cannot be left with a neighbour, at a gate, or with a guard in the heat.
If nobody is there
We will call and wait up to 15 minutes. If we still cannot hand the order over we take it back to the kitchen. You are welcome to collect it the same day, or we can attempt a second delivery for a further ₹49.
A perishable item that has travelled twice and spent an afternoon in a vehicle is not something we will re-deliver the next day. In that situation we cannot refund — see our Cancellations & Refunds Policy.
If the address is wrong
Please check it at checkout. If an address is incorrect or incomplete and we cannot deliver, it is treated as a failed delivery under the section above. Tell us as early as you can and we will change it if the order has not left.
6. When we run late
Occasionally traffic, weather or a difficult bake puts us behind. We will message you rather than leave you waiting. If we miss your slot without warning you, that is covered by our refunds policy.
7. Looking after it once it arrives
- Cream cakes: refrigerate immediately. Take out 20–30 minutes before serving.
- Brownies, cookies and loaves: airtight container at room temperature.
- Nothing contains preservatives. Cream items are best the same day; brownies and cookies keep several days.
8. Collection
You are welcome to collect from Nr. Taksh Galaxy Mall, Ankhol, Vadodara by arrangement — email hello@butterleafbakehouse.com after ordering. There is no delivery charge on a collected order and we will refund it.
