1. Who you are dealing with
This site is operated by Butterleaf Bakehouse, a sole proprietorship trading as Butterleaf Bakehouse, based at A-103, Shivay Splendid, Nr. Taksh Galaxy Mall, Ankhol, Vadodara, Gujarat 390019, India. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean Butterleaf Bakehouse; “you” means the person placing an order.

2. What we sell
We are a home bakery. Everything is baked to order — we do not hold stock. Every item we sell is vegetarian and contains no egg.
Product photographs are illustrative. Because each item is made by hand, the cake you receive will differ in small ways from the picture — decoration, shade of colour and finish vary between bakes. Size, weight and flavour will match what you ordered.
3. Allergens and food safety
Allergens are listed on every product page. Everything is made in a single domestic kitchen that also handles wheat, dairy, tree nuts, peanuts and soy. We cannot guarantee that any item is free from traces of these, even where they are not listed as ingredients.
If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering rather than relying on the product page alone. You are responsible for checking that what you order is suitable for whoever will eat it.
Our bakes contain no preservatives. Cream-based items must be refrigerated and are best eaten the day they are delivered.
4. Placing an order
Adding items to your basket is not an order. Your order is placed when you complete payment, and is accepted by us only when we confirm it. If we cannot accept an order — because an ingredient is unavailable, the delivery date cannot be met, or the address is outside our area — we will tell you and refund you in full.
Every item needs lead time, shown on its product page. The delivery dates offered at checkout already account for the longest lead time in your basket.
5. Prices and payment
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include GST at 5%.
- Delivery is ₹49, and free on orders of ₹750 or more, calculated after any discount.
- Your total is calculated on our server from current prices at the moment you check out. If a price displayed to you was wrong, the correct price applies and we will contact you before charging anything further.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or banking details.
Promotional codes are subject to their own conditions, may be withdrawn at any time, and cannot be combined unless we say so.
6. Delivery
We deliver within Vadodara only. See our Delivery Policy for areas, slots and what happens if nobody is available to receive the order.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Because everything is made to order and perishable, cancellation rights are limited. Full details are in our Cancellations & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
8. Your account
You can browse and build a basket without an account. To check out you sign in with your email address — we send a single-use link rather than asking you to create a password. Keep access to your email secure; anyone with it can sign in as you.
You must be at least 18 to place an order, and the information you give us must be accurate — particularly the delivery address and phone number.
9. Custom orders
Custom and tiered cakes are quoted individually. A quote is not a confirmed order until it is accepted and paid for. We may decline a design we cannot make well, or one that would infringe someone’s copyright or trade mark — including character and brand-themed cakes.
10. Using this website
The content of this site — text, photographs, recipes and design — belongs to us or our licensors, except for third-party photography credited on our photo credits page. You may not copy it for commercial use without permission.
You agree not to interfere with the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to send anything unlawful.
11. Our liability
We take food safety seriously and stand behind what we bake. Where an order is defective, unsafe or not delivered, we will remake it or refund it as set out in our refunds policy.
Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here when you place your order, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Vadodara, Gujarat. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
